Okay I'm going to teach you how to set up a multiboard for rpg's. In this tutorial you'll learn how to set up a multiboard that keeps track of hero levels and kills.
Note: Before we begin I suggest you get to know yourself with veriables and we before tackaling a multiboard. Maybe even try a leaderboard first
Note: Okay this is only going to be for 1 player but to add extra players all you got to do is follow the same steps but instead of player 1 put player 2.
Trigger 1:
Events:
-Time - Elapsed game time is 1.00 seconds
Conditions:
-None
Actions:
-Multiboard - Create a multiboard with 4 Columns and 2 rows, titled Hero Stats
-Set Multiboard = (Last created multiboard)
-Multiboard - Show Multiboard
-Multiboard - Maximize Multiboard
-Multiboard - Change the color of the title for Multiboard to (100.00%, 80.00%, 20.00%) with 0.00% transparency
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 1, row 1 to Show text and Hide icons
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 1, row 1 to Hero Icon
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 2, row 1 to Show text and Hide icons
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 2, row 1 to Hero Name
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 3, row 1 to Show text and Hide icons
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 3, row 1 to Hero Level
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 4, row 1 to Show text and Hide icons
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 4, row 1 to Hero Kills
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 1, row 2 to Hide text and Show icons
-Multiboard - Set the icon for Multiboard item in column 1, row 2 to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNDranaiAkama.blp
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 2, row 2 to Show text and Hide icons
-Multiboard - Set the width for Multiboard item in column 2, row 2 to 7.00% of the total screen width
-Multiboard - Set the text for (Last created multiboard) item in column 2, row 2 to Akama
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 3, row 2 to Show text and Hide icons
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 3, row 2 to 0
-Multiboard - Set the display style for Multiboard item in column 4, row 2 to Show text and Hide icons
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 4, row 2 to 0
Trigger 2:
Events:
-Unit - A unit Gains a level
Conditions:
-(Leveling Hero) Equal to Akama 0022 <gen>
Actions:
-Set Level[1] = (Level[1] + 1)
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 3, row 2 to (String(Level[1]))
Trigger 3:
Event:
-Unit - A unit Dies
Conditions:
-(Killing unit) Equal to Akama 0022 <gen>
Actions:
-Set Kills[1] = (Kills[1] + 1)
-Multiboard - Set the text for Multiboard item in column 4, row 2 to (String(Kills[1]))
Okay well that's the basics, if you have any questions about the triggering or anything on multiboards, ask them here and I'll do my best to answer.
Also if I have time I'll update the tutorial so the multiboard keeps track of health, mana, and all stats (note this is some what easy and wont take me long).
